How it Works

RapidPurge chemical grade works in all types of thermoplastic processing equipment

• RapidPurge technology is based on the fact that chemically based plastics combined with heat are basic internal operating parameters associated with thermoplastic processing. To properly clean a system, it stands to reason that a chemically based purging compound with heat would be the most effective method.

• RapidPurge is a non-toxic chemically based purging compound. Its blend of non-abrasive stiffeners provide a soft scrubbing action to thoroughly purge machinery.

• RapidPurge’s chemicals are activated by heat. The ensuing reaction breaks the polymer chains in all thermoplastics. The reaction results in a lower molecular weight and dramatically reduces the viscosity in thermoplastics, producing exceptional cleaning and purging results.

• RapidPurge is inert to metal surfaces and has no impact on internal precision components and/or tooling. It causes no surface attack. Early purging methods employed by the thermoplastic industry relied on flushing systems with stiffer compounds.

Areas of Usage

RapidPurge is highly effective on all thermoplastics from commodity resins to high temperature engineered resins and in all types of thermoplastic processing equipment; injection molding, extrusion processes, dies/tooling, blow molding, hot runner systems, and structural foam machines. We have continuously set the standard with thousands of customers resulting in a solid reputation within the thermoplastic processing industry.

Benefits

RapidPurge is a cost effective purging compound used in the thermoplastics processing industry for material change over; removal of degradation/contaminates, color changes, streaking/black specking, and preventive maintenance against internal system degredation.
